Weekend Review – Round 18

Well that’s a wrap for the 2019 regular season and we now head into the busy end of the season with finals footy.

The Cobras came away with 2 wins from 4 starts on Saturday with the league and reserves coming away with easy wins against Forrestdale.

Both the League and Reserves finish the 2019 season with the Minor Premiership with 15 Wins and 1 Loss for the year.

The Colts and Thirds finished the 2019 season with a couple of losses to Jandakot and SNESA.

Firstly well done to Harry and the colts boys on a great year finishing the year in 7th place with 7 wins.

At the end of 2018 the club had its first transition of colts players moving into the seniors squads which left only 9 players from the 2018 Colts Elimination final heading into the 2019 Colts program.

The colts program had another successful year with 23 new colts players pulling on the jumper for cobras colts for the first time in 2019.

2019 saw the introduction of our third senior side which competed in the E3 grade. The boys finished the year in 12th place with 3 wins.

There were plenty of positives to take away this year with the thirds, losing 4 games by under 3 goals during the year showed that the boys had plenty to offer during the year.

Well done to Dermie for coaching the side and well done to all the players that stuck it out over the year. The base has now been set and the thirds will only improve moving into 2020.

The club finished the year off with a home game and our annual Community and Family day. It was another very successful day at the club with plenty of kids enjoying the activities through out the day.

The league and reserves have earned the week off and now prepare for a home Qualifying final on Saturday 31th August.
