350th GAME MILESTONE

Well done to club life member Rohan Burrows who will be playing his 350th game for the cobras this Saturday in the thirds.

Rohan is the first cobra player to reach the 350 game milestone. He is also the only player in the clubs history to pass 200 games with the next closest player Nathan Byrne on 183 games.

Rowy started his playing journey at the cobras in 2000, back then they only played fortnightly games in the Mercantile Football League, this just shows how much a great achievement it is for Rowy to reach this milestone.

Rowy has played in 8 Grand finals with 4 premierships below.

Mercantile Football League Premierships
2005, 2006, 2008

WAAFL C4 Reserves Premiership 2018

Rowy has been a part of the committee for over 15 years in various roles and is currently the Social Coordinator on the committee in 2019.

Rohan has served as Club President from 2009 to 2014 and is the second longest serving president in the clubs history.

During these years Rohan was instrumental in the clubs growth with the club forming a reserves side in 2010 in the Sunday Mercantile Football league and in 2012 the club was accepted into the WAAFL the league we currently play in now.

In 2011 Rowy was given Life Membership of the Cockburn Cobras Football Club.

During his playing career Rowy has played just about every position possible. Serving as the league Full back for many years and then transformed himself into an elite midfielder for the reserves, captaining the side for 4 years and taking out 3 Fairest & Best Awards along with 2 Runners up Fairest & Bests.

Rowy has also previously finished in the top 3 of the WAAFL Association Fairest and Best for the reserves.

Reserves Captain 2012, 2014, 2015, 2017
Reserves Fairest & Best 2011, 2012, 2013
Reserves Runner Up Fairest & Best 2010 & 2014

The Club would like to Congratulate Rowy on this special milestone and also thank him for all the work he has done for the club over the last 19 years. The club certainly wouldn’t be in the position it is today without the contribution from Rowy.

The thirds will be playing at Davilak Oval this Saturday with the game starting at 12:35pm.

We invite all supporters and past players down to the club to cheer Rowy on his special day.
