Weekend Review – Round 7

The league and reserves side had a bye on the weekend and only the Colts and Thirds had games on.

The Colts played away against Ellenbrook and were searching for a must needed win to keep any final chances alive.

The Boys didn’t disappoint and came away with an 8-point win after trailing at three quarter time by 8 points.

Cockburn 1.2-8 4.2-26 5.5-35 8.9-57
Ellenbrook 0.3-3 4.4-28 6.7-43 7.7-49

The thirds also played away against SNSEA also looking for a much needed win. Unfortunately, the boys went down by 14 points.

The boys have been playing some very competitive football over the year and this is the 3 loss under 15 points.

Cockburn 9.4-58
SNSEA 10.12-72

After 7 rounds the League side sits in 2nd place behind behind Piara Waters. The reserves are in 3rd place. Colts sit in 7th and the Thirds in 11th place.

This weekend all team have the June long weekend general Bye and it’s a good chance for everyone to rest up and recharge for Round 8 at the snaekpit.
